Drama spazzin' girl has finally finished 24 episodes of Tree with Deep Roots.. It is actually a rather fascinating drama..
I have to admit, I was laughing at the name when it first came to my ears
Never did I thought it would be a drama that is so well-thought out
It could really be use as a scale to define how big dreams are..
How big one's ambition and determination is
For starters, it started out as a young peasant boy whose family was wrongly killed.
He was an anger child, who vow to kill the king whenever he has the chance.
Amazing as fate is, he found the girl that was his childhood friend in the palace
However, that girl works by the King and has strong faith for him..
Soon, he realised it was futile to kill the king,
As his deceased father only hopes he become a great man in the future,
and not to avenge for him..
The king, was apparently creating letters..
It should be a story around the dynasty when King SeJong started creating letters..
In the past, ancient korea (or called Joseon) writes in Chinese characters under influence of China.
However, King SeJong stepped out and created 28 korean characters, which is the modern characters we see..
This drama has strongly portrayed the difficult as this king tries and attempts to change history
You could feel for him as he was shaken by all the risks possible when the letters were published
Though I didn't like the last part of the drama, which was really bloody..
Because I don't understand why must people get killed just for those letters.. like together, like suddenly.. o.0
You could also see his enthusiasm as he creates each and every stroke of the letter..
Each letter, with its unique origin that could be easily associated with humans.
Easy strokes to help those illiterate to learn as quickly and easily as possible..
His proudness, as he looks at the 28 characters he created over the decade..
Those are the pretty images attached to this drama.
This huge dream, eventually overcome that young boy's determination to kill the king
And, the last part, he was killed by this dream
He did his everything, not to kill the king, but to save the King's dream. His love's dream.

This drama has to be praised really well..
All Koreans would have felt extremely proud for what their ancestors have done and gone through to produce the letters, to ensure the letters were published.
It is a pity when people do not appreciate language, as they are the fundamental of what makes us. Communication is the key to globalisation, and the reason how advanced our world is..
This makes me feel proud for the various languages I can speak, write and read..
Chinese, I am forever proud of those millions and millions of characters..
Because one character, can actually tell so many story..
A couple of strokes, actually could mean something, and together, they form a word.
Just like the word love, 愛, you could actually see the word "心 " in it. Which actually means heart, love ain't a thing if it doesn't comes from the heart. And amazingly, "心" is in the middle of the various strokes.
Though I don't say I am advanced in Chinese, because, I agree, they are tough to learn.
I am still proud even if I don't speak Chinese (:
As for english, they don't have such interesting history, but I have come to notice upon a couple of words that are interesting. For example, the word Ugly. This word, just looking at it, you would feel it isn't a rather pretty word.. U-G-L-Y, this four letters, if you just look at it, don't you feel that they are ugly. It seems to me that not only that it means ugly, it feels ugly and that's how you look at the word.
Or Beautiful for instance, B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L, this long long 9 letters does looks beautiful don't they? It feels that they carry more than just meaning of the word, but rather the visual image of the word. And the reason I prefer English because you can feel it.
You can feel butterflies in your stomach when you're nervous.
Or your skin really feels like it is crawling when you're scared..
You can really feel your spine turning cold when you're frightened..
It's amazing, language it is..
And come to think of how our world has turned out..
It's a pity not everyone appreciates languages.
Because then, everyone can be a poet, everyone can write their own stories.
Everyone can be proud of their past, and forever aims to create a better future with their present.
Languages are more than those that were used as foul languages.
I admit, under the reality of everyone using them, I have come to use a couple of them
However, I have never stop learning languages..
They are beautiful, and like what the drama has said, a weapon.
This weapon can be used to protect yourself, defend the ones you love, or kill anyone when improperly used.
This weapon is a blessed gift, and I don't think we should misuse.
